I’d like to leave my review here to congratulate this Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school.
I’m Brazilian, and my daughter might be the only student with Brazilian parents currently training at GB Oro Valley, so I feel confident in saying that the professor does an outstanding job.

I’ve read some previous reviews, and of course, not everyone will always agree with everything in a class — but it’s important to trust the instructor’s experience and let him lead the way he knows best.

My daughter is only 5 years old and has been training for just one year, and I can already see how much Jiu-Jitsu has helped her. She’s become more confident, disciplined, and respectful, and she’s learning to socialize better with other kids. Jiu-Jitsu also contributes to her overall education — it teaches children there’s a time to speak and a time to listen, how to deal with frustration, and how to overcome challenges.

Personally, I really appreciate the way Professor Valentino runs the classes. He’s not just teaching martial arts — he also shares important life values, helping shape the students into good citizens.

My 9 year-old daughter started at Gracie Barra Oro Valley and had so much fun doing jiu-jitsu that I decided to take classes too. Professor Valentino and the entire coaching crew do an amazing job making you feel like you’re part of a big family. They’re great with kids and adults alike. There are no big egos here—just a willingness to teach if you’re willing to learn. They embody the belief that jiu-jitsu is for everyone no matter your background. Found this gym while traveling for work. I was interested in Brazilian jiu-jitsu for a while, and since I was in the area for several weeks, I thought it wouldn't hurt to try a class. The professor and coaches were friendly and very welcoming. I'm on the older side, so I was concerned with trying something new with young experts. Everyone st this gym was friendly and respectful, so it quickly rid any fears I initially had. I don't live in the area, but my few visits made me want to look for a gym near me in the future. Love coming here and I’ve learned so much!  The place is super clean, schedule works out for me, inviting, the instructors are awesome and patient, the community is uplifting!  I can’t wait to take my babies here when they get older!  They have taken my skills to the next level and no other Jiu Jit Su school compares to this one!   If I could give 10
